Out of Office Auto-reply Problem: Solution on MS Exchange 2003

***If the out of office reports don’t get of your network to the outside world go here*****

On the Exchange Server open the Exchange System Monitor

Look under Global Settings > Internet Message Formats , And right click ‘default’ (in the right hand pane)
Select Properties > Advanced
Tick the ‘allow out of office responses’ box

Click apply/OK

Done

Applying computer settings takes forever

This moment made my heart beat hard… (as an IT Guy) that maintain critical system .

• When : Sunday, 18 September 2011
• Clock : 17.00 GMT +7
• Where : Office, South Jakarta
• What : Security Update, Windows Update, Add and Change UPS configuration
• How : Firts update Domain controller, MS Exchange Server and then shutdown. Then Shutdown Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES)
• Trouble : BES Server (Windows Server 2003) could not start normally : Applying computer settings takes forever about 1 hour.
• Solution : After maghrib prayer, try not to hard shutdown via machine onn/off button (worry there is hardisk corruption). The solution is using Domain controller, via DOS command line try to use shutdown -i and then select server name that want to shutdown/restart. Done.The server restart normally.

Tips migrasi handset blackberry lama ke handset BB baru di system BES

Berikut adalah langkah-langkahnya migrasi handset blackberry lama ke handset blackberry baru di system Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES):

1. Backup secara local maupun remote koleksi contact BBM di BB lama
2. Matikan sinyal BB lama
3. Backup di PC secara custom BB lama : Contact, BBM, BB Group, SMS, Phone call list. Jangan lupa backup juga file yang ada di MediaCard
4. Matikan BB lama
5. Cabut SIM BB lama. Dan pindahkan ke BB baru.
6. Colokin BB yang baru ke BES Server
7. di BES lakukan “Assign Device” ke Device yang baru. Biarkan proses aktivasi berjalan max 24 menit.
8. activation complete, Lakukan restart BB. Alhasil nanti setting BB yang lama seperti BBM, dsb ter-applie ke BB yang baru
9. Copykan file yang ada di medicard lama ke mediacard di BB baru
10. Periksa Docs to go apakah sudah ter-license atau belum
11. Done

Hari rabu kemaren tanggal 29 April 2009, saya diundang Indosat untuk menghadiri seminar/workshop yang berjudul

The 1st Blackberry Enterprise Solution Day.

Acaranya lumayan bagus dan ada bobotnya terutama sesi workshop Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) deployment dan BES Enhancement.  Selain itu pua pas awal-awal diisi oleh sesi fakta dan testimonial dari Indosat bahwa mereka sekarang adalah operator  nomor satu dalam hal pelanggan Blackberry.

Sampai sekarang sudah mencapai lebih dari 100 ribu user blackberry di Indonesia dan RIM sebagai produsen blackberry menyatakan Indonesia merupakan negara yan gpertumbuhan blackberry-nya paling cepat dan paling besar se-Asia Pasific.  Dan Idnosat memegang pelannggan paling banyak dengna pangsa pasar sampai lebih dari 60%.
