Spam Unik: Berbahasa Indonesia Mengaku dari CIMB Niaga

Akhir-akhir ini saya mendapati spam yang cukup unik. Uniknya adalah baru kali ini ada spam atau botnet yang well generate dan berbahasa Indonesia. Yang jadi korban adalah dia mengatasnamakan dari Bank CIMB Niaga. Hari ini spamnya cukup unik bahwa dia memberitahukan bahwa CIMB Niaga telah mengupdate server Internet Banking-nya dan kita disuruh untuk mengklik file attachment-nya (bertipe HTML).

Mudah-mudahan pihak CIMB Niaga bisa memberikan penanganan khusus terkait aksi spam/phising ini. karena kasihan jika ada user yang kebetulan mengklik attachment tersebut, maka ada kemungkinan si botnet terebut meminta username atau PIN internet banking CIMB NIAGA. Selain itu pula PC dia bisa menjadi mesin botnet yan ampuh untuk menyebarkan pesan spam tersebut ke seluruh dunia.

Spam Merajalela

Bulan agustus ini spam bener-bener bikin “keder”. Buanyak banget. Sehari server bisa dapet sekitar 500 email sampah. Yah kerjaan admin buat screening tiap beberapa jam dengan maksud untuk mendelete spam atau untuk meng-unblock beberapa legitimate email yang masuk. Namun email dari client sih sangat jarang nyangkut di antispam. Lumayan berguna juga neh antispam coz gratis (bawaannya Exchange SP2). Kalau gak ada wah bisa berabe. Keluar dollar lagi buat beli antispam (e.g GFI mail essential).

Sekarang spam sangat cepat update pattern-nya. Dan yan gpaling sering lolos adalah spam tanpa judul yang mencantumkan attachment file PDF. Wueedan. Dan dikirimnya akan dua kalipat di hari sabtu-minggu. So hari senin lagi-lagi kerjaan admin buat ngebresihin seribuan lebih spam. Ada isu bahwa attachment yang dikirim berikutnya adalah *.doc. Halah..
